I’m sorry, but demanding that other people participate in the fantasy you project on to them, with no context and no consent, is the very definition of insanity. I understand that the stigmas people who suffer from mental illnesses and disorders are very real and very damaging, and the language does indeed need to change. But I also firmly believe that we need to redefine the language of misogyny and sexism and patriarchy, and identify those areas that, while normalized, are not, in fact, normal or healthy or reality-based, and start calling this behavior what it is.
