We conclude the first 5starts incubator batch with a Demo Day during which the participating start-up teams ChillBill, Pagestrip and ExtraSauber pitch in front of an invited audience made up from representatives of the AWS, Vienna Business Agency, AustrianStartups, journalists, sektor5 alumni and the investor ecosystem, as well as a limited amount of start-up enthusiasts. We’ll also announce the participants for Batch #2 of 5starts.

Who: 5starts is sektor5’s homegrown incubator. Since its foundation in 2010, sektor5 has been offering an ideal environment for a thriving Austrian IT-Community, that counts internationally acclaimed start-ups MySugr, Codeship and blossom.io among its alumni. sektor5 is proud to facilitate and nurture young talents and has established its own incubator program 5starts in January 2016, with support from AWS‘s JumpStart Initiative.
How: 5starts works in batches. After an open call for applications, selects start-ups to receive that special sektor5-treatment for 5 months during which they can truly focus on advancing their product. 5starts organizes tailor-made workshops, trainings and hackathons, but also offer access to the sektor5 alumni network and the investor eco-system.
Demo Day: 5starts Batch #1 began in January 2016 and is now ready to present its accomplishments in front of an invited audience. Demo Day marks the official end of a 5starts cycle — even if we actually go further*. Demo Day is a celebration!
