The English Punk mindset has ALWAY been about this. Margaret Thatcher alienated half the youth in her country, and they were not going to take that lying down. Being older, and having this memory of the 80s, i have NEVER seen Punks couple with non Punks.

Berlin tends to be the same. Berlin is kind of a happy refugee camp for all the weirdos in the world. Even German culture in other states is very different, so there are many people here of German birth who came here to find their people.

That's what Berlin's about. Finding one's people, so you don't tend to see "cross cultural coupling".
