No Fake Accounts, No Fake News thanks to FakeFind

Our social media accounts, posts and followers have started to gain a very important place in our lives. Thanks to social media, we have been able to communicate with people that we don’t know, make new friends, get news from a country on the other side of the world, etc.. In addition to the positive features of the internet, don’t you think that sometimes we have to be suspicious? For example, do the accounts we encounter belong to a real person? Is the news that we encounter really true or is it intended to manipulate an audience? All of this must be analyzed by the system and then presented to us. But now I can easily say that no social media platform has a sufficient content review system to detect fake accounts or fake news.

I noticed this problem when I examined the followers who came to my Instagram account 1 year ago. When I randomly analyzed one of my followers, I realized that the photos in that account actually belonged to someone else and this account was fake. Afterward, with my partner, whom we met and established a great team with, we realized that this problem was experienced by many people and we did not have a competitor bringing a technological solution to it yet, and we shared the solution we found with everyone by developing a mobile application. We called it FakeFind.

FakeFind, the only Fake Analysis application developed for Instagram users, is a mobile application that allows users to use social media more reliably. With an algorithm created using various image processing technologies, it analyzes the accounts that users want and reports whether the account being investigated is Real or Fake.

In addition to the fake account detection feature, we aim to provide solutions to the fake news problem that has recently caused many political and manipulative problems. We will also explain our collaborations on this subject as soon.
