What even is ProGuard !?

ProGuard is a tool that shrinks, optimizes and obfuscates code. While there are other tools available for developers, ProGuard is already available as part of the Android Gradle build process and ships with the SDK.

There are many reasons why you might want to enable ProGuard when building your app. Some developers care about the obfuscation part more, but that is not the only useful feature. You can also benefit from the reduction of the overall size of your Android application as well as removing unused classes and methods that contribute towards the intrinsic 64k method limit of Android applications…

Sometimes you want to check if a file exists before doing some file manipulations such as backup, copy, modify or just read data. However, C/C++ does not provide any built-in function to check if a file exists. Fortunately, we can use other built-in functions to develop our own function check whether a file exists. There are several ways to accomplish this task, but what is the fastest and best way to do so.

std::ios:good() function

In the first approach, we will get the stream from the file using ifstream , and then we check the state of the stream if it is…

Building Android apps with Android studio is very common among the Android developer community, but if you try to build platform apps or try to compile and import AOSP projects into Android studio, you’ll face one common issue, as the android toolchain and build systems aren’t the same, AOSP apps aren’t recognized by Android studio.

When developing for the platform, the build system for AOSP uses makefiles and android toolchains to build apps, whereas with the introduction of Gradle build system in Android studio, the default structure of the application has changed compared to the internal platform’s app.

In its wake, Soviet officials publicly downplayed the incident. To this day, scientists are still working to understand the effects of the fatal explosion.

In the philosophy of mind, a major topic of debate is how the mind — something that is popularly thought to be immaterial — can cause effects in the physical world. That is, how can a person’s mental states (i.e. beliefs, desires, etc.) lead to physical events (e.g. raising one’s arm)? Beliefs and desires aren’t physical things, are they? How much do your beliefs weigh? What is the volume in cubic centimeters of your desires? If mental states aren’t physical, then how can they “cause” physical events? This is commonly referred to as the problem of mental causation.

The other…

Whoever you are, whoever you think you are, believe that you’re also a silent princess. Your name is Mysterious. Your journey is one through a forgotten landscape, sitting within dimly-lit crowded cavern, atop of a floating train defiantly crossing a dark sea. Sandro Botticelli could only grasp at in a dream state.
