haiku #10: lmao

“hit me with your car”

“haha, dude same hit me pls”

“actually though”

I feel like teenage humor is starting to get more “numb” in a sense. Like, the way we cope with suffering is through humor, and we make jokes out of our pain in order to make it hurt less (why be sad when you can just laugh at your problems?).

I’m pretty guilty of doing this, but I don’t want to diminish the fact that I’m glad that I’m alive and that I’ve been blessed with many great people and experiences. Sure, pain hurts, but I think that being alive and having the chance to be happy is something worth a little pain.

Anyway, I just finished my first year of college, and I’ve been through many happy memories and a few not-so-happy ones. I’m grateful for all these experiences though, as they are memories from upon which I can draw knowledge.

I experience, and I grow.

Props to the Author of my life for adding some character development to my story. Good going!

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
