Review of a novel by Jacqueline Gay Walley

An interesting and credible love triangle with a woman emotionally balanced between a man in prison and the man she marries.

Some memorable quotes:

“She is not intimate with her husband as she should be, but she is intimate with everything about and around him.” p. 61

“She married him thinking she would eventually go back to being alone and maybe, just maybe, he doesn’t know he unconsciously married her for the same reason.” p. 81

“All those guys in prison take on different personas out of boredom. They reinvent themselves. They change personas as they change prisons.” p. 99

“… she and her husband are really very much alike. Neither of them puts much faith in the other.”
p.100

“… actual sex had never been a big part of their current relationship, with her visiting him once a month in prison. Jus sex in the mind and she often wondered if she preferred it that way anyway.” [. 171
