The Myth of UX Design

Yes! Thank you for setting this straight. While working on digital products, a call myself a UX designer and clients trust I am not only making things pretty. Different Story working in Brand development or on print products. All of a sudden judgement is often broken down to a matter of taste. Analytical thinking and strategic arguments are more difficult to place because now I am a Art Director/Designer/Artist who makes things pretty. After working together for a while, clients do realize, that the pretty part is only the icing on the cake. What I find difficult about this is, that there is so much energy needed to change misconceptions — energy I would rather invest in real problem solving.
