ALL HUMANS Yet World Apart!
I saw an anonymous quote and I love it. It says:
We were all humans until race disconnected us, religion separated us, politics divided us, and wealth classified us.
Most times our story of connection, shared human heredity, similar human characteristics and our story of commonality to achieve peace and a united future is at risk due to the various things we allow to divide us.

Recently, I watched a two minutes long commercial Heineken ad titled “Worlds Apart: An Experiment,” where six strangers were paired up with partners of opposing views on transgender rights, climate change and feminism. Afterwards, the pairs were given instructions to build a bar together and a video played of each person voicing their opinions on those hot-button issues. At the end of the day, the experiment concludes with a choice: to leave or to discuss those differences over a beer. Fortunately, all three pairs choose to talk at the bar, some seeming open to changing their views.

I am of the opinion that navigating difficult conversations is a great way to move our path forward. It has the power to heal all wounds, break walls built on hate, discrimination, violence, I better pass my neighbor mentality, rancor and judgmental bias. Also, in togetherness we show one another how we can co-create a united future, a preferable option than living in isolation and building walls against ourselves.
On a daily basis, we have the choice to stand up and say, “I can be better; I choose to walk in love with myself and with everyone else"
