“Under that tree”

There must be a poetic meaning in sitting under a tree. It smells like a kind of wisdom. Remembering “under that tree” is a very suggestive expression. As fertile as a tree. As fertile as flowers. A rooted tradition like a tree. Its shade extends to every directions in time like a tree.

“I tied my life to a falling leaf I say now whatever happens” as Turkish poet Ibrahim Tenekeci said, a test of surrender to fate. “I wish I didn’t die a little” a blend of enthusiasm that we can say.

Sitting under a tree is to taste a seasoned place. A tree is the brewing of life. A tree is the rising of the earth to the sky. A tree is the kiss of the sun to the soil. A tree is the bending of the ‘now’ to the ‘past’. A tree is the refreshing of the breath of those who lived before. A tree is the reminder of our lives to those who will live later.

A tree whispers the roots of the wisdom, witnesses branches of the excitement, show the leaves of the dream, feeds the flowers of the joy, gives the fruits of meaning.

It convinces us to be more than we are. It raises our earthliness to the heaven.
