The park is home to 400 Asiatic Lions and 300 Leopards, as well as a wide variety of plant species, 38 animal species, 37 reptile species, 300 bird species, and over 2,000 insect species.

  1. Permits:

To avoid disappointment, especially during peak tourist season, it is recommended to book safari permits in advance. Permits can be obtained online through the official Forest Department website or purchased at the designated counter near the park entrance.

Before travelling here in the winter season, it is recommended to book the trip online, otherwise, it is crowded with tourists during the winter season and it is not possible to travel due to the pressure of the situation. Because such permits are not available except online and if luck is very helpful they can be obtained at the entrance of the park.

Almost all tourist spots here are most likely to be empty from 8 am to 6 pm. Travel places here are generally between 150 to 800 rupees for Indian nationals where this price is charged. Here the price is between 2500 and 4500 rupees for foreign nationals.

2. Clothing and Gear:

If you go on safari during summer. In that case, carry light cotton clothes. And to make the journey sweeter carry sunglasses, hats, binoculars and cameras.

3. Transportation:

While private vehicles are allowed inside the park for safari tours, many visitors opt for guided jeep safaris run by authorized tour operators. These safaris are led by experienced naturalists who are well versed in the park’s wildlife and ecology. Here, you can make your trip enjoyable with the transport facility from 2000 to 4000 Rupees.

Accommodations:

Other options in the area are Gir Jungle Lodge and Lion Safari Camp, both of which provide a variety of amenities and services to cater to guests’ demands. Here you will find a nice place to stay. Where you will find good accommodation between 1500 to 2000 rupees.
