Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 : Specifications and review
Do you remember the launch of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. The Phone launched on 6 the September. Samsung's long rumored foldable smartphone was first unvieled as a concept during Samsung's annual developer Conference SDC, in San Francisco on November 7, 2018. Rather than Showcasing the phone itself Samsung showed off a prototype of intended to demonstrate type: "Infinity Flex". No name was given for the Smartphone, but Samsung into production and hold hear more soon.
When the Phones new models were send for the reviewers, the experience was not nice, In the hands of reviewers, the phone's foldable screen and all its mystique cracked and crumbled. A huge disaster for the Samsung. Company announced that the Galaxy fold would be delayed for at least several weeks as the Company tries to fix the phone's problem.
Company promises to launch the phone in April 2019 but again delayed and finally launch it in 6 September 2019 after fixing the huge disastrous problem. But Now the Company has launched the Samsung Galaxy Z fold 2, the second generation of Samsung fold phone. Till Now, the Samsung has launch three foldable phones Samsung Galaxy fold, Samsung Z flip and Samsung Galaxy Z fold 2, which is the New One.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2
The company show the phone in it's Unpacked live program on 5 August 2020 but not told about any specifications. Now the Company on 1 September launched its phone Officially and told that it will be available in 40+ markets around the world from 18 September. Pre Order booking has open after launching. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 Specifications
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 have two 12GB RAM and a 256GB Storage ( Ufs 3.0), the Samsung Galaxy fold was 512 GB GB RAM. We can say Samsung cut off the RAM without Reason. Samsung Galaxy flip was also had 256GB RAM. The Phone runs on Octacore ( 1×3.09 GHz kryo 585) and have a Chipset Qualcomm SM8250 Snapdragon 865+. Operating system (OS) is Android v10 (Q) with Skin One UI.
Display and Design
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G Smartphone has a 7.6 inches (19.3 cm) Dynamic AMOLED 2× HDR+ display with a Resolution of 1768×2208 pixels and pixel density of 372 ppl. The Aspect ratio of the foldable phone is 25:9. Galaxy Z Fold 2 Screen to body ratio is 89.1. The Refresh Rate of the phone is 120Hz.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 features larger cover and main displays, measuring 6.2 inches and 7.6 inches, respectively. We can use it as a phone and a tablet. The main display now uses Ultra Thin Glass, and the hideaway hinge uses sweeper technology to keep away debris. The front cover uses Gorilla Glass Victus.
A cam mechanism allows you to open the Z Fold 2 at various angles and enjoy new Flex mode software experiences that make the most of the phone's large canvas. Multitasking is improved with Multi-Active Window, letting you quickly create app pairs to launch instantly; and it's easier to re-arrange open apps in different layouts.
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 immediately makes a better impression than the Galaxy Fold because of its larger exterior display. You no longer feel like you're operating Android through a peep hole, and that's because the cover screen has grown from 4.6 inches to 6.2 inches. The interior display is also bigger at 7.6 inches for the Galaxy Z Fold 2, compared to 7.3 inches for the previous model. Even better, the ugly notch on the main screen is gone, replaced by a small cutout for a selfie camera.
Samsung also made several enhancements fo the Galaxy Z Fold 2 to improve durability and usability. This includes a sturdier new Ultra Thin Glass display, which is designed to provide a better touchscreen feel than the plastic screen Fold, and a Hideaway hinge that uses sweeper technology to prevent dust and dirt from entering the phone.
Similar to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G, the Galaxy Z Fold 2's hinge uses a CAM mechanism that allows you to position the screen in multiple positions. And while there's still a gap between the two sides of the phone when closed, it's narrower than before.
Measuring 6.2 x 2.6 x 0.66 inches when closed and 6.2 x 5 x 0.27 inches when open, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is slightly shorter but wider than its predecessor. It's also heavier, as the Z Fold 2 weights 9.9 ounces, compared to 9.48 ounces for the original model.
If we relate it to the old Galaxy fold phone that also have 7.6 inch display and Same Pixel Density. The Display and dimensions have no change. Galaxy Z fold 2 have dimension 159.2mm × 128.2mm × 6.9mm same as Galaxy fold. The weight is also same 279 gram, neither more neither less.
Camera Setup
Folding position:Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 have 3 set of camera. In front, there is 12 MP (f/1.8, 26mm(wide), 1/1.76", 1.8um, Dual pixel PDAF, OIS) Selfie Camera.
In Unfolding position, there is two 12 MP pixel cameras, One is 12 MP {f/2.4, 52mm (telephoto) 1/3.6", 1.0um, AF, OIS,} 2× Optical Zoom Camera. And another 12 MP (f/2.2, 1/3.1", 1.0um) Ultrawide Camera. That means, Phone has a nice camera setup in Unfolding position.
There is an Upgrade in Galaxy Z fold 2 Cameras, As In Samsung fold device had two 10 MP { f/2.2, 26mm(wide), 1.12um) Cover Camera for Selfie.
There is triple rear Camera setup with 12 MP wide, 12 MP Ultrawide and 12 MP Telephoto(2x optical/10x digital zoom) Camera with features like Digital Zoom, Auto Flash, Face Detection, Touch to Focus etc.
The triple 12MP rear cameras are not as advanced as Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, but features like Auto Framing can help keep subjects in the frame and Dual Preview lets subjects see themselves as you're shooting.
The fun really starts with the camera features that are unique to the Galaxy Z Fold 2. For example, Dual Preview lets subjects see how they're going to look using the front display while you're taking the shot. You can also take higher quality selfies with the rear cameras.
Thanks to Flex Mode, you can prop up the Galaxy Z Fold 2 in what looks like laptop mode and it will keep your subject in focus using a feature called Auto framing. Another perk is Capture View mode, which lets you review up to 5 recent pictures on the bottom half of the screen while maintaining the live preview in the top half.
If we Compare it to the Galaxy fold phone, we will see that there some upgradation. But, The triple 12MP rear cameras are not as advanced as Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, but features like Auto Framing can help keep subjects in the frame and Dual Preview lets subjects see themselves as you're shooting.
Battery and Charging
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 packs a 4,500 mAh battery, which should be able to get you through most of the day. The Galaxy Fold had a slightly smaller 4,380 mAh, so this is a step up. The Z Fold 2 supports 25W fast charging, as well as fast wireless charging and PowerShare reverse charging. The Older Galaxy fold had 4380mAh battery. New One is more but not So much.
Performance and 5G
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 sports a Snapdragon 865 Plus processor along with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage (UFS3.1). So we would expect similar performance to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.
In terms of 5G, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 supports both mmWave and sub-6GHz flavors, so you should have no problems tapping into 5G networks where there is coverage. Because the Z Fold 2 also supports Ultra Wide Band technology, you can leverage Samsung's Nearby Share features to quickly share files with other compatible devices, which thus far only includes the Note 20 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 have various Connectivity features like Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, Volte, NFC and more.
Colour Options
The Galaxy Z Fold 2 comes in two colors: Mystic Bronze and Mystic Black. But you'll be able to add some flair in the form of four hinge color options if you order through Samsung.com. Options include Metallic Silver, Metallic Gold, Metallic Red and Metallic Blue.
Pricing of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 :
The Company didn’t revealed the price of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 in india. But Reports says that It can be nearly ₹174,999 ($ 2396.58). The price in USA Starts from the $1,999 ( approx 146,000). Statewide price vary because USA have different tax prices in different states.
The Samsung fold was also nearly ₹179,000 in starting but now it’s nearly ₹109,000. As it’s Foldable phone, that’s why price is fair but only for the professional once.
