Many tiny versions

One of the nice things about German is that adding -chen at the end of a noun makes it the many tiny versions of itself. E.g.

Brot (bread) -> Brötchen (little breads)

Fuchs (fox) -> Füchschen (little foxes)

Which is why I can’t stop seeing little monks whenever I think of Munich (München).
