Cats Gone Wild- Chapter 22

Er… Where the hell are you going, Uri? Why won’t you let me protect you? It’s for your good. Er… Jeez, when is this headache going to last?

“Nour, are you alright?”

“Yeah.”

Tito and the rest of Nour’s friends are playing cards on the big dining table. Nour’s been lying on the dining couch for a few hours now. They’ve been traveling for 4 days looking for where Uri has gone off to. Nour can’t wait any longer. Uri must be on another planet already and who knows what kind of creatures live there? Are they good? Are they bad? Nour doesn’t know, but he always assumes the worst. He looks over at his friends who are just shuffling around cards. Jeez, it’s like they have no care in the universe that Uri might be in trouble. Nour just gets up and walks to the cockpit where Ginger is flying the BS Lion. When Nour gets to the cockpit, he looks at Ginger.

“Hey, Ginger. Has your tracker detected Uri yet?”

“No, it looks like he might have used super speed again. Wherever he is going, he must be very determined to get there. My tracking device isn’t the most accurate thing in the universe, but it’s accurate enough to tell me the general area where his ship might be. Wait a minute…” Ginger looks over at the bright red light flashing on the detection screen. “…I’ve found him.”

“Wait, you found him!? Where?”

“I don’t know, some sort of planet. I’m looking over the information on this planet right now…” Ginger taps the tracker screen. “…Strange, all it’s giving me is the name.”

“What’s the name?”

“Sweetopia.”

“Sweetopia?”

“That’s what it says. There are no UN records on this planet. It must not be registered.”

“Do you know how to get there?”

“Yeah, I got the UPS set up already.”

“Good. How far away are we?”

“Not that far actually. Only 20 minutes away.”

“Only 20 minutes!? Now you tell me!”

Nour gets out of the cockpit and runs back to the dining room where the rest of The Ferals are still playing cards. They all look at Nour who just slams his paws on the table.

“We found Uri’s ship!”

Nader looks at Nour cock-eyed. “Really? Where?”

“Sweetopia.”

“Sweetopia?”

“Sweetopia? Isn’t that the planet that just has a big community of velociraptors living in there?” Tito chimes in.

Nour looks at Tito cock-eyed. “How come you know about this planet?”

Tito laughs awkwardly. “Well, I only know it because I heard that our dad’s friend Jegu lives there.”

“Wait, really?” Sebastian blurts out.

“Yeah, remember when our dad told us about this new congregation that his friend Jegu is helping to develop. I remember dad told us that there’s a lot of interest over there in Sweetopia.”

“Jegu? Why does that name sound familiar?” Nour rubs his chin.

Tito smiles “Well, that’s because he’s one of King Yadin’s best friends too.”

“Jegu? Well, if a lot of them are servants of Jehovah, then that probably means that they’re nice. We don’t have too much to worry about then.” Nader looks at Nour specifically when he says this.

Nour just frowns. “Yeah, well let’s just go over there and see what it’s actually like. If they are nice, then they will have no problem telling us where Uri is.”

“We’re almost there! Prepare for landing!” Ginger yells through the ship’s intercom.

The Ferals suddenly rush and put their seatbelts on. Nour just rushes to sit on the couch that he’s been lying on all day. He holds on for landing. If they finally manage to find Uri, then this whole mission will be all over with and Nour can be satisfied. Nour sure hopes he won’t have problems finding Uri here after finding out from his friends that most of the creatures that live there are servants of Jehovah. That means they help them know where Uri is, but still, Nour has that eerie feeling again that something might go wrong.

Besides, even if this planet is full of good people, Nour knows that there are tons of bad creatures that are after Uri, and Nour doesn’t want these nice people who live in Sweetopia to get hurt when it’s not their fault. That’s why Nour needs to get Uri because he doesn’t want to get anyone nice to be involved. After all, it isn’t their fight, but it’s Nour’s and his friends’ fight to try to get Uri. Even though Uri is running from them, Nour is still going to chase him and protect him from harm because Uri is just a boy and the universe is full of dangerous creatures.

Suddenly, BS Lion starts to shake and Nour holds on to a handle that’s above his couch. After a while, the shaking stops.

“Alright, we made it through the atmosphere!”

Ginger says through the intercom. The Ferals all let go and unbuckle their seatbelts. Nour just let’s go and goes over to the cockpit again. Nour looks through the window of the cockpit and sees this very colorful planet of Sweetopia. Nour can’t believe how pink the environment is.

“Hm, very colorful planet.” Ginger blurts out.

“Yeah.”

“Let’s see, there’s a landing spot around here somewhere.”

Ginger looks around through the cockpit windows. Finally, Ginger looks at where a bunch of ships are landing and decides to fly over there. There are two colorful velociraptors waving flares at them. Ginger lands the BS Lion slowly on the spot next to the two colorful velociraptors. When The Ferals get out of their ship, Nour sees the two colorful velociraptors walk towards them. The two raptors smile and wave at them.

One velociraptor has red skin and the other one has pink skin. The pink one looks like a female, but Nour is only assuming based on the looks. Nour knows that in the bird world, the males are usually the colorful ones, the females are the not-so-colorful ones, and the raptors are part of the bird family. But both of them are colorful, so Nour doesn’t even know.

“Welcome to planet Sweetopia. Where did you guys come from?”

The pink one says. It sounds like a female voice, so Nour guesses the pink one is a female or maybe not… Nour doesn’t even know anymore.

Tito starts waving. “Greetings. We’re from Egypt. You haven’t happened to find any ship that landed here that looks like a cardboard box now, would you?”

The pink one raises an eyebrow. “Cardboard box? I don’t know, we get a lot of weird ships here, but none of them look like cardboard boxes. Hey, Stewy, have you seen a ship like that?”

The red one, whose name is apparently ‘Stewy’ , shakes his head. “Nah, sorry, I haven’t seen one before, Pinkalicious.”

The pink one, whose name is apparently “Pinkalicious”, also shakes her head. “Hm, sorry we can’t help you, but you’re welcome to visit our village and walk around. There’s probably somebody in our village that knows where a cardboard box spaceship is.”

“Thank you, have a good…” “Who’s in charge of this village?” Nour interrupts Tito.

Pinkalicious looks at Nour confused. “Sorry?”

“Is Jegu in charge of this village?”

Pinkalicious smiles. “Oh, you guys know Jegu? You must be brothers?”

“Yes, we are.”

“It’s nice to see you, welcome. Yes, Jegu is our overseer. He usually hangs out at his cottage. Here, I can take you to meet him, if you like?”

“That would be great, thank you.”

“I just need you guys’ IDs first, sorry, it’s regulations. Then I can take you to see Jegu.”

Nour looks back at his friends. His friends look at him like they know what he’s planning to do. Nour knows what his friends are thinking; that he doesn’t trust these Sweetopians one bit, and they would be right…Sort of.

It’s not that he doesn’t trust them, these two Sweetopians that greeted them seem to be nice, but Nour just wants to know if they are hiding Uri or not. The Ferals hand their IDs to the two Sweetopians. The two Sweetopians check them and hand them back.

“Great, you can just follow me and I can take you to Jegu’s cottage.”

The Ferals walk behind Pinkalicious. Nour is next to his brother Nader who is just frowning at Nour.

“I know what you’re thinking.”

Nour looks at Nader cock-eyed. “Oh, you do?”

“If you think you can find Uri just by tearing this place apart, then I think you’re not going to find Uri at all.”

“Tearing this place apart? Who says I’m going to do that? Sure, I don’t trust these raptors, but I’m just making sure that they are not hiding Uri. If they’re not, then good. I can just leave them be, but if I find the slightest bit that they’re hiding Uri, then prepare yourself.”

“Nour, please don’t,” Tito says worriedly.

Nour ignores Tito and walks up to Pinkalicious who’s a few feet in front of him. When Nour walks beside Pinkalicious, Pinkalicious looks at Nour keenly.

“All of my friends want to split up and look around your village if you don’t mind. They think it’s pretty interesting. I still want to meet Jegu though.”

Pinkalicious smiles. “Sure.”

Nour looks back at all of his friends and they all split up, emerging with the crowds that are walking about in the village. Nour just continues to follow Pinkalicious until Nour sees that they are heading to almost the edge of the village. Once they reached the edge, Nour could see a white cottage just a mere distance away.

“We’re almost there.”

Nour follows her towards this white cottage. As they get closer to this cottage, Nour can see, with his cat eyes, an old brown Sweetopian. Well, Nour assumes he’s old because he has gray hair patches on his fuzzy black afro. Nour didn’t even know that velociraptors can grow hair. He assumes that it must be Jegu. Jegu turns around and looks at Pinkalicious and Nour walking his way. When they finally made it up to him, Nour examined more of Jegu’s features. Nour swears he recognizes this old brown velociraptor from somewhere, but can’t put his cat tongue through it. Tito said that Jegu knows his dad, so Nour might have met him, but he doesn’t remember.

“Jegu, this new visitor wants to meet you. He says he knows you?” Pinkalicious says.

Jegu looks at Nour skeptically. “Ah, yes. How can I forget about you, Nour.”

“So, you do remember me?”

“Oh, I do. One of Alfred’s students. What do you want?”

“You haven’t happened to see a cardboard box spaceship land here now, did you?’

“A cardboard box? No, I haven’t, sorry…” Jegu immediately looks away from Nour. “…Now, if that’s the only thing you want, then off you go.”

Ok, kind of a rude answer. Nour gets suspicious of this. The looks that Jegu gave Nour make him a little suspicious too.

“Oh, I see. You haven’t happened to see Prince Uri walking through your village? He was the one who was riding the cardboard box.”

“Prince Uri? Now that’s very unlikely. Prince Uri is dead, is he? The kingdom of Zion got destroyed. Besides, there hasn’t been a human who landed on this planet for years now. I’m sorry my cat friend, but I guess you landed on the wrong planet.”

“Oh, I see. Well, can I get your permission to search around your village to see if the human boy is actually here?”

“Pff, it’s very unlikely a human boy will go past my security, but you’re welcome to try. Just don’t go to the wooded areas, there’s a strange beast that’s terrorizing our village and it’s roaming in the woods.”

“Oh, I see.”

Nour knows that Jegu is full of bull. He’s trying to hide something and Nour knows what he’s hiding. He’s hiding Uri from him and his words and reactions tell Nour all he needs to know. Nour turns on his phone speaker.

“Ferals, destroy the village.”

Nour can see Jegu and Pinkalicious immediately get into a fighting stance when he talks on the phone. Suddenly, a loud boom comes from somewhere in the village. Nour looks over and sees smoke coming out of one of the buildings far away.

Good, it looks like his friends obeyed his order. Nour looks back at Jegu and Pinkalicious. The both of them are just staring at him, but Nour can see the fear in their eyes.

“You Sweetopians really think you can lie to me. I could see through your deceptions from the start…” Nour begins a fighting stance. “…Now, tell me where the kid is or you will see your village completely destroyed.”

Jegu, without saying anything, uses his mustache to try to attack Nour. Nour dodges the attack and immediately shoots fireballs at Jegu. Jegu dodges Nour’s attack too.

Pinkalicious just stands there, horrified. Jegu is about to attack Nour again, but then a big explosion comes near and it catches Jegu off guard.

Nour is angry, he thought the Sweetopian people were going to be nice and tell him where Uri is, but guess not. That’s it! He has about had it! %#%^^*&*(*(&)(*&*)&^%%#$$

Nour is so angry his eyes turn red. Jegu sees Nour’s eyes and he panics a little.

“Psh, you really think you can be counted as a brother when you are relying on the Devil’s power? Well, I’m not going to let you destroy my village.”

“You shut up! You think I’m evil? I hate cocky liars like you! I’m going to shred you into pieces!”

Jegu tries to prepare himself when he sees Nour charging at him.

All of a sudden, Nour sees a random bomb coming towards Pinkalicious who is behind Jegu. Immediately, Nour runs past Jegu towards Pinkalicious. Jegu gets puzzled when he sees Nour run past him until he looks behind him and sees the bomb coming towards Pinkalicious. Pinkalicious is just standing in fear when she sees Nour coming towards her. Nour then starts to jump and he pounces on Pinkalicious.

Nour moves Pinkalicious away from where the bomb was to hit her. Just mere seconds after Nour moves her, the bomb lands on the ground and causes a big explosion.

Jegu covers his eyes when the bomb explodes. Jegu uncovers his eyes and looks at where Nour and Pinkalicious are.

When Jegu can finally see clearly, he sees Nour on the ground and he has his body covering Pinkalicious like he’s protecting her. Nour looks back at Jegu and he quickly gets off of Pinkalicious. Jegu sees Nour’s red eyes change back to normal.

Nour is breathing heavily as he starts running away. Pinkalicious is so scared that she runs to Jegu and leans to him for comfort. Jegu just stands there and stares at Nour who is just running away, heading toward the village. When Nour is out of his sight, Jegu looks at Pinkalicious.

“Are you alright?…”

Pinkalicious nods.

“…Come with me. We need to make sure that everybody is safe.”

He quickly runs towards the village with Pinkalicious tailing behind him.

Nour is already close to where BS Lion is at. A lot of Sweetopians are running away from him as he runs past them. Nour turns on his phone speaker.

“Ferals, stop what you are doing! Uri is not here. He’s somewhere else. Go back to the ship.”

When the rest of The Ferals hear Nour’s message. They just look puzzled, but they start following orders as they stop destroying the village and run towards BS Lion with a bunch of Sweetopians running away from them as they pass by.

Nour didn’t want to kill anybody. When he saw that bomb coming towards Pinkalicious, he wanted to save her. Nour doesn’t want to attack the village anymore; it’s clear that Uri isn’t here anyway.

Nour is still going to search the planet just in case, especially since hearing that there’s a monster out in the woods. Uri might be in the woods and might be attacked. Nour is still going to search, but leaving The Sweetopians alone.
