Smart-waste solution provider also proved its compatibility with the Canadian Cat-M1 network
Sensoneo, a leading provider of smart, enterprise-grade waste management solutions operating in nearly 40 countries worldwide, has been actively using the NBIoT network for its smart waste management deployments in 20 countries.
The NBIoT is one of the networks that Sensoneo Smart Sensors are able to connect to in order to transfer gathered information regarding monitored bins’ fill-levels, GPS positions, temperatures and pick-ups. Sensoneo sensors can also connect to LoRaWAN, Sigfox and Cat-M (or GPRS/GSM if there is no IoT available). A few days ago, Sensoneo also proved its compatibility with the Canadian Cat-M1 network in cooperation with Bell, Canada’s largest communications company.
Sensoneo’s smart waste solution using the NBIoT network is currently running in the following countries:
USA, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Norway, Romania, Italy, Australia, Croatia, Czech republic, Finland, Slovakia, Malaysia, Latvia, Switzerland, Israel, Hungary, Estonia, Denmark and Luxembourg.
Sensoneo was also the first 3rd party device running on America’s first nationwide narrowband IoT network, that was launched back in July of 2018 and since then, T-Mobile US has become one of the key technological partners of Sensoneo.
Sensoneo, a Slovakia-based (mid-Europe) company has been providing with smart waste management solutions since 2014. The solution combines unique ultrasonic Smart Sensors that monitor waste in real-time with sophisticated software providing cities and businesses with data-driven decision making, and optimization of waste collection routes, frequencies and vehicle load. The solution can be installed into any type of bin and monitor any type of waste.
“ The Internet of Things is a great opportunity to drive smart solutions. Our experience shows that IoT-powered devices are approximately 10 times more energy efficient than those running via GPRS/3G.
NBIoT network provides low power consumption, good coverage and a strong signal. Together with the easy set-up and the amount of data the network is capable of transferring, we consider NBIoT as one of the networks with the highest potential. NBIoT has helped us to speed up expansion to new markets and regions,” commented Martin Basila, Founder and CEO at Sensoneo.
