Papinelle sleepwear has been at the forefront of creating beautiful sleepwear for women for the last 12 years.

Started by Renae James as a specialist in feminine comfortable on trend sleepwear for women, Papinelle is now the feminine comfortable stylish alternative to brands like Peter Alexander, Country Road and Witchery.

Like many of Australia’s fashion designers, fresh out of university in 2003, Renae James started Papinelle at the Paddington markets with sleepwear designs that quickly brought retail and media attention. Renae was born and raised in Sydney, Australia where she is still based today.

Specializing in Pyjamas, nighties, robes and loungewear, Papinelle knows sleep and how important comfort , style and fashion is in the bedroom. We aim to create beautiful products designed to enhance your down time. Papinelle is the Australia and New Zealand distributor of UK brand, Ruby and Ed, a match made in Heaven. Ruby and Ed’s snuggly slippers are the perfect finishing touch to your sleep wardrobe.

Papinelle has grown to a team of 20 passionate, creative people who share the love for Sleepwear, Pyjamas and enhancing the downtime of our customers. With a strong product focused team at the Head office in Paddington, to the teams in the stores who are focused on giving our customers an amazing experience every time they come into our stores.

Our team stretches beyond those who work directly for us and includes some amazing characters around the country who help support our Wholesale customers such as David Jones in Australia and New Zealand, Ballantynes in New Zealand and all our specialist retail partners who have grown together with the Papinelle brand over the years.

We opened our first Paddington store in 2004 and very quickly started selling into some amazing retailers around the world including Fred Segal, Anthropologie and Barney’s New York.

In 2010 we opened our second Australian store in Leura. Papinelle’s PJ’s have a strong celebrity following, our sleepwear being worn by Katy Perry, Carrie Mulligan, Paris Hilton & Sienna Miller.

Today Papinelle has culminated in 3 signature stores with our fourth store about to open in Canberra, a successful online sales ecommerce store, an exclusive department store arrangement with David Jones and representation in over 180 boutiques worldwide.

We are proud to have created an exclusive partnership with Radisson Blu. Described as a “ Dreamy New Partnership with Radisson Blu “, Radisson has collaborated with Australian lifestyle brand Papinelle to design an exclusive new range of luxury sleepwear for the hotel’s guests.

For women, Papinelle has created a pure silk set of pyjamas in rich navy colouring with a soft sheen and luxurious feel. A soft premium pima cotton has been used for the pants and shirt combination which will ensure comfort and style for Radisson Blu Sydney’s male guests.

As our brand has grown and as our customers have grown more sophisticated in the choice of sleepwear and loungewar, so has the level of interest from other leading brands such as the Radisson.

Our most significant partnership which Papinelle is extremely proud to announce is with Megan Hess.

Megan Hess is an international fashion illustrator who works with some of the most prestigious fashion designers and luxury brands around the world, such as: Prada, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co., Yves Saint Laurent, Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Fendi, Ladurée, Givenchy, Cartier, Laduree, Montblanc, Balenciaga, Guerlain, Paspaley and Tag Heuer.

Her original pieces of art have varied in scale from the size of a postage stamp to the expanse of an entire building. Her work has appeared on the bottom of luxury swimming pools in Dubai and on the walls of some of the most coveted fashion houses around the world.

Papinelle Sleepwear is honoured to have collaborated with Megan Hess on an exclusive range of sleepwear. Megan Hess has designed a bespoke print that will adorn a range of luxury silk blend nightwear in Papinelle’s signature styles.

This exclusive range of sleepwear and loungewear will be available through our retail stores in NSW , online and through our premium retail partners including David Jones.

We are excited to see that our partnership with david Jones continues to grow and now extends to its new store in New Zealand.
