Why People do not understand what SEOs do?

As you all know I am the founder of SEO and digital marketing company seolhr.com and I am doing search engine optimization from 6 years so this question is something that people always do ask me. Let me tell you that seo is not writing blogs on your website well lot of SEO work involve writing but writing for the website is the job of content writers. This is not what SEOs do at-least not most of the SEOs do.

So what does SEOs do?

SEOs actually try to fix all kind of errors from the website, I mean all technical errors that makes website perform bad in search engine. So you might have to resolve www conflict from your website, or you may remove canonical errors. There are many other things like if i name a few it would be setting up unique meta tags on your website, removing broken errors from your website, alt atribute setting and whole lot of work. There are number of people who think that SEO is something that everyone can do with little learning but this is not true at least in most cases. You may do SEO of a website hosted on wordpress with some plugin but when you will work on a custom php or html based website you will keep scratching your head because it depend lot of technical knowledge so if one is not expert in technical thing it is better to not start your career in SEO or work in a company where web developers can help you fixing those issues in the website. So all those technical isses fixing is referred as “on-site seo” which one can learn from experience but when it come to off page SEO even the experts are not 100% certain with what is the criteria on which search engine rank website. Off Page SEO

Off page involve making a content for your website search engine friendly well this is an area where SEO work with content writers to make content for website as per search engine guideline. It involve lot of SEO work to do research and make writer a general document about the topic and then writer will use it’s expertise to write the content in the way that make it better than already publish articles on that topic. One writers are done with content now duty come back to SEO to promote that content on maximum channels. Search engine counts links as votes so aim of the SEO is to get maximum relevant links from authority website and for getting that links you may need to email website owner to tell them about the content you make or may involve running ppc campaigns on that content if they will like your content they may link to it and ultimately you get the vote. So these are some of the tasks that I mentioned SEO do but this is not all different SEO has different strategies to make website search engine friendly but the mention task are something that almost every SEO is doing.
