You’re getting mixed up.

There are Gaelic speakers in Edinburgh now. Some who were born here. That isn’t history though of course Gaelic has a historical place here too.

I really don’t understand why the minority of Gaelic speakers can’t have their language normalised through signage but you’d favour signs in Brythonic or Pictish?!
