Somewhere down there!

Somewhere, under that turquoise blue dome
Where the silver clouds are kissing
A mother, in a red flowy dress, is setting the dinner table
In a hazy yellow light
From candles that smell like roses!
Somewhere down there
Next to that old pine tree
A man walks into his dark silent home
Stares at a painting from his homeland
And drinks himself to sleep!
Somewhere down there
In a house covered with yellow Jasmines
A woman is awaiting a lover
In a silk lavender dress
With a glass of cognac in her shaky cold hands!
Somewhere down there
Up the hill
Next to that tiny yellow light
A father takes his last breaths
And thinks of his son
Who lives far away
A son he left for a woman!
Somewhere down there
In a house with the greenest gable
A grandmother
With braided silver hair
Sings lullabies
To her orphaned grandchild!
Somewhere…
Under that navy blue sky
Lives my past
Lives your present
Lives our future!
