FigChallenge: May Release!
TL;DR: I explained all the updates in a video. You can now see the submissions easily on the explore tab!
We released some exciting updates for FigChallenge on May 1st.
FigChallenge is a web app for designers to join or create design challenges.
As you might have noticed that we are constantly updating the app. We are trying our best to address all your feedback! On May 1st we released some essential updates that you can read about it in this article.
Discover tab
We have a new tab now. You can see all the submissions easier on this tab now!
Challenges tab
The structure for this tab has changed and has three sections:
- FOR YOU: You will see a list of all public challenges in this tab.
- TO SUBMIT: You will see a list of the challenges you participated in with a timer. *
- SUBMITTED: You will see your previous submissions.
Streak
Now you can see how consistent you were! On your profile, you can see a number that shows your streak.
Weekly Streak: How many weeks you’ve been submitting at least once a week? No matter what you do don’t let this number get to zero!
Submissions
There are some updates on submissions based on your feedback.
Submission list
You can now see all the submissions for a challenge without clicking on them.
Delete submissions
Now you can delete your submissions if it has any problems and resubmit again.
You can delete your submission from inside of the challenge:
You can also delete your submission from the Discover tab.
Notification dot
Everywhere there is an update you can see these red circles so that you won’t lose the updates!
Install
You can now install the app on your desktop and phone!
Desktop
Chrome and Edge support installing PWAs and you will see the installation prompt when you open the app.
Phone
Android: If you open the website on Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet, or Opera you will see the installation prompt.
iOS: You can only install the app on iOS using Safari using this guide:
The steps to add apps to the home screen are:
- Open the Share menu, available at the bottom or top of the browser.
- Click Add to Home Screen.
- Confirm the name of the app; the name is user-editable.
- Click Add. On iOS and iPadOS, bookmarks to websites and PWAs look the same on the home screen.

Performance
We enhanced the speed of loadings and we improved some technical features. The app is much faster now!
New creators!
New creators are joining the app and for the first week of May Manjesh Yadav⚡️ is creating design challenges.
