Note-Taking Strategies

Note-Taking Exercise using the Cornell Method

The Cornell Method is an effective note-taking system, considering its simple and convenient way. The “notes column” is the section to write down your notes during the lecture. You can use bullets, sentences and short-hand according to your comfort.

“Recall column” is the place where you write your questions, main points and visual clues that are running through your mind. Fill this section at the end of the lecture.

“Summary” is where your most important point and main ideas are written. Fill in this section after class during your reviewing process.
