I love astrology. I find it fascinating, mysterious, informative, and insightful. For, our solar system and planets in it are about energies and their interconnectedness and influence on people and the world. The astrologists say: ‘What above is below,’ referring to the sky — our solar system — and the planet Earth. Recently, contemplating on changes that are currently occurring and a major shift in energies that will take place on 21st December 2020, I had an inspiration to look at movies from the astrological point of view. Namely, how prevailing energies of zodiac signs effect focus and themes of movies created.

In the Part 1 of the article I looked at the themes of the three zodiac signs — Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo, — that we are shifting from, as we have been focusing on them for the past 200 years. And it is time to explore new ones. A period of the next 200 years that we are about to enter will have as its focus the themes of the following astrological signs — Aquarius, Gemini, and Libra. Not to mention the Aquarius age as the backdrop to these energies. The themes of the three signs have been already introduced as we have had a chance to experience a ‘demo version’ of what it will be like. However, the ‘demo version’ ran alongside the expressions of the previous set — Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo — and it was not possible to entirely separate it from them, therefore movies presented still have some elements of these signs. But, starting from 21 December 2020, we are going to live Aquarius, Gemini, and Libra expressions in their pure state.

All three signs are connected to the air element and express intangible things such as ideas, dreams, thoughts, notions. Aquarius, Gemini, and Libra are also responsible for certain areas of life and energies expressed there.

Aquarius, 11th house, planet Uranus

Dreams, innovations, revelations, revolutions, positive changes, genius ideas, freedom, uniqueness, humanitarians, eccentricity, technology, fantasy, avant-garde art and fashion, edgy ideas, sci-fi, astrology, aliens, other worlds, cosmos.

Examples of movies and TV series associated with the Aquarius energies:

Examples of movies and TV series associated with the Gemini energies:

It should be taken into consideration that the movies presented below are the movies, although having Gemini themes, were made during the times when the previous set of energies — Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo, — was still present, therefore these movies have a mixed flair about them. For example, Colette (2019) has two themes intertwined: the theme of patriarchy (Capricorn) and women’s struggle with it, and the theme of Gemini — the story is about a female writer. The movie Late Night (2019) also has the Gemini theme of a female show-presenter and a theme of bossing around like a man and being in control (Capricorn theme).

Colette (2019) — the movie covers themes of finding a distinct voice — not being constrained by others, in this case the husband and his money making aspirations, — and the art of writing books.

Examples of movies and TV series associated with the Libra energies:

It should be taken into consideration that the movies presented below although have Gemini themes were made during the times when the previous set of energies — Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo, — was still present, therefore these movies have a mixed flair about them. For example, Quai d’Orsay (2013) is set within a Capricorn environment of a governmental structure, yet the Foreign Minister and his speechwriter have energies of Libra and Gemini signs.

Quai d’Orsay (2013) — the movie explores the themes of diplomacy via the art of writing and saying balanced but influential words, equilibrium via balancing between what one wants to say and what one can say, and harmony in the working environment where beautiful and suave clashes with dull and admin.
