I believe you.
Tell me you will increase your revenue by 50% in business this year, I believe you.
Tell me you will fail in business this year, I believe you.
Tell me you are going to loose 6lbs this month, I believe you.
Tell me you will be the same weight no matter what you try to do to loose it, I believe you.
Tell me you are never going to find a life partner, I believe you.
Tell me you will run a marathon, I believe you.
If you are telling me something, nine times out of ten you have told yourself the same thing countless times. The more you tell yourself the same thing the more it gets cemented in your brain as a fact.
If you want to believe you won’t find a life partner, then the likelihood is that you won’t. Why? Because you won’t be giving yourself the best opportunity to find one. You won’t have the mindset. Even if the perfect partner is right in front of you, you won’t see it.
What you tell yourself either opens or limits opportunity for you and most of us don’t even know we are doing it.
Truly believing you are going to run a marathon next year, makes you take the necessary steps to get to a point where you are fit enough to run a marathon, where you have signed up to be in the event, where you have rallied support, where you practice mentally and physically daily.
Take note today, what telling yourself daily that isn’t serving you. Ask yourself:
Is it true?
Is it REALLY TRUE?
If you find that it is not quite as factual as you had originally thought after asking yourself these questions. The next question to ask yourself is:
What do I want?
How is what I am currently thinking helping me get there?
