Infamy

She was an ordinary girl, just like any other.

She let herself believe in something that could be stronger.

She tried and she tried to no avail, but the coke addled monster would never allow her peace of mind to stay.

She desperately and disastrously manned the sails, but no matter what they could not handle the impending gale.

She fought and she fought with what to do, but despite her natural compassion, there was no solution she could come to.

She reeled and recoiled with every emotional blow, but there was only so much abuse she could undergo.

One day, her eyes widened to take in a whole new glimpse of acidic agony and she knew there was no greater travesty than holding on to an inverse gravity.

She floated and floated in limbo for so long, but she knew that if she didn’t swiftly extricate herself from her circumstances, she would either sink or drown.

She has not found peace, but she knows that before long the lashes of self-hatred and blame will begin to dissipate and sanity will begin to reign.
