Recently I had the unique experience of visiting Georgia, the small former Soviet nation. Having previously been to 31 other countries around the world I can now say without a doubt that Georgia is an absolute must-see.

10 Lessons From My Four Years in the Berkeley Forum

March 19, 2014. Journalists film Kentucky Senator Rand Paul as he speaks at a sold-out Berkeley Forum event that was live-streamed by CNN and featured on the front page of The New York Times.

Four years ago I made one of the best decisions of my life: I joined the Berkeley Forum. The Forum is a quickly growing, entirely student-run organization at UC Berkeley that hosts debates, panels, and talks with leading experts from every field imaginable.

In my time in the Forum, we put on 97 events with 152 speakers, brought in 7,760 audience members, and reached hundreds of thousands more online. In my four years I’ve served on the Communications Committee, as Marketing Manager, as Press Chief & Head of Special Projects, and most recently have been Vice President of Communications. …

Today, the Berkeley Forum team is thrilled to announce a selection of events from our Spring 2017 lineup, which includes 14 debates, panels, and talks with leaders from various fields and disciplines.

Our president, Daniel Ahrens, had this to say:

“I’m honored to announce this semester’s spectacular lineup. With this set of speakers, the Berkeley Forum draws ever closer to its mission of providing an accessible forum for students to discuss, debate, and engage with the important ideas and leaders today. We are honored to host speakers such as Carla Hayden, the Librarian of Congress, Justin Kan, founder of Twitch.tv, and Amy Ziering, Director of The Hunting Ground, among others. I want to thank our student staff for putting together this lineup. None of this would be possible without their tireless work for the Forum.”

I’m a huge fan of productivity tools. Life can often get busy and when it inevitably does, productivity tools can be an immense help.

Over the years I’ve tried dozens of different ones and decided to compile a list of some of my favorites.
