A satire of a problem that doesn’t exist… the usual process in techie-oriented housing is “Here are our great amenities, we have 10 units open large and small, choose one and hand over 5 bazillion dollars.”
The real problem that needs to be satirized and that causes the high prices is the REST of the housing, with which I also have experience because my fiance doesn’ like highrises. “Here’s our crappy victorian, yes it’s drafty, no there’s no dishwasher, oh, laundry? that’s 5 blocks away. You can park in front of the building — we have not just 1, but 2 spots for 6 units! This bedroom is cool, you can touch the wall right opposite the window. No, this is not the big one, just your neighbor walking. Now hand over 4.5 bazillion dollars and be quick, 29 people have already applied!”
Demolish the latter, build the former, problem solved.
