“fully insured” — are you sure? It might be the case that injuries occurring during “professional” activities, and especially ones happening on a bike, in traffic, are not actually covered. Here in Europe, besides the free public system paid out of your taxes, you can get pretty cheap “extra” basic (sore throat and yearly bloodwork) but anything considered a “high risk activity” is not covered. So accidents while driving, skiing, biking, swimming, participating in any kind of sports competitions and anypreexisting conditions are not covered and getting insured for those is crazy expensive.
