Treasure Chests

I am mesmerized by people. Doing business portraits or corporate headshots, or dating profile photos, or whatever it is I do, is the perfect job for me because I get to meet and discover people, and I swear to you each is like a treasure chest that fills me with wonder and delight. This is not hyperbole. Sometimes I look back at photos I have taken in the past (like this one above) and I ask myself — Did I take this photo? Did I meet this person? I remember of course, but I am often struck by the beauty and the truth of it. This is a holy experience for me, and I am grateful for each person I get to meet. And when I look at these photos I realize how lucky I am that I get to do this — see people, help people see themselves. I am not a robot who takes pictures, I am a spiritual being who helps to reveal authentic people in a world that needs more authentic people revealed.
