On the Rivers of Babylon

Believe me or not. I started to cry.

It is not remembrance of Boney M. Not at all.

It is the feeling that something very good in your life is lost and can’t be restored.

It is 136th psalom of King David:

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down
ye-eah we wept, when we remembered Zion.

When the wicked
Carried us away in captivity
Required from us a song
Now how shall we sing the lord’s song in a strange land

Let the words of our mouth
and the meditations of our heart
be acceptable in thy sight here tonight

By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down
ye-eah we wept, when we remembered Zion.

Why I started to cry? I just realized that some feelings when i was teen cannot be felt by me now, when i am 49. I am too dirty, “know too much” and much more ossified than in youth…
I am probably too banal but i’m writing it here…
