What are bad omens?

A bad omen is an unpredictable outcome that is unfortunate.

According to superstitions some signs believed to bring bad luck that we are going to discuss further here in this article.

  1. If the animal put on its tongue when being sacrificied , it is believed that the owner of the animal will die within the year.
  2. In some parts of the world it is considered as bad omen if people bring a dead body to a house.
  3. If a snake is killed,thrown in water and disappears ,it is beleievd that there will be continous rain and floods.
  4. When a wolf howls , the weather will be very cold or there will be snow
  5. In India, a dog cry is considered as a bad omen as it indicates someone in the area is going to die.
  6. A black cat passing from right to left in front of a person is considered as a bad omen as your tasks might get delayed or postponed
  7. If a person comes across a rabbit on his path ,he may have a bad luck . It should turn around and walk back by the same road he came.
  8. Spitting on fire or throwing water is considered as bad . (In India, people worship fire lord know as “AGNI DEV”)
  9. If someone falls from an elm tree,he wont live long .
  10. In asian countries , it is advisable not to have sexual activities during the day time.
  11. Sewing, cutting down trees and plants or killing animals are not allowed on Hidirellez day.
  12. Sleeping near the fountain attracts the devil
  13. In hindu culture , extinguished lamp while praying is considered as a bad luck .
  14. Omitting the 13th floor from the building
  15. In ancient houses , mothers often stop their children from shaking their legs as it indicates loss. of wealth.
