The home office is a need of the hour as most people are working from home currently.

As more and more teams are shifted to remote or flexible work from home to combat the spread of COVID-19

As many studies say that people are more productive working from home than in a traditional office space.

There are several strategies to stay productive when working from home, and here are a few tips and tricks on how to best set up your home for work from home.

1. Get some visual idea = There is no harm in getting some ideas from the internet to make your space appealing. Find some ideas and select your inspiration.

2. Embrace natural light= Good lighting is important to prevent eyestrain and headaches, even if you’re working by the glow of a computer monitor or laptop screen. Try to place your desk near the window. If it is not possible to set it near the window try to get some ambient light above your desk.

3. Storage is important = Now and then you need a notepad or pen while working. Keeping it stored properly will help you a long way.

4. Add some personality = One of the best parts about a home office is that you can dictate its decor per your tastes. Good decor won’t just make your office space feel more inviting, it’ll also improve productivity.

5. Add some greenery = A few green plants will not only add a dash of color to your office space but also increase happiness and reduce stress. Even a few plants can increase productivity by as much as 15%, says according to study.

6. Comfortable seating = A comfortable chair is the heart of a productive home office. You’ll spend nearly half your day on it. Investing in a good one will make a notable difference in your work life. If it not possible to have a good office chair try to put some cushions on the bottom and at the back of your seat.

7. Wire management = You wouldn’t want to come to work in an office that’s covered in jumbled cables and cords. Find some ways to hide the cords and cable so they don’t distract you.

8. Don’t forget ergonomics = While keeping everything else in mind don’t forget the ergonomics. Keep your laptop or monitor at advisable distance and height that your body posture does not hurt.
