The Digital Salon

I’ve been dabbling in online writing for a few years. At the end of the day though, I always ended up resorting to pen and paper journals. At this point in my life, I’ve filled dozens of them and most will never be seen by another human. I thought to myself “perhaps it is because I spend a lot of time ‘off-grid’, traveling or backpacking”. This is true, but only to an extent.
What I settled on was that most of my writing has always been “personal” and meant for self-reflection and not to be shared or discussed or commented on.
There are, however, things worth sharing and discussing. Knowledge, experience(s), insight, and perspective can be immeasurably valuable for friends and strangers.
The world of internet blogging and social media has led us to the age of the Digital Salon.
Yes, there is writing that belongs in journals and I will always be a proponent of carrying pencil and paper at all times.
That being said - there are ideas and perspectives certainly worth sharing, worth discussing, and worth spreading.
I guess this is my entry onto joining the digital discussion world. There’ll be random insights, perspectives, questions. Not sure how this will evolve. I’m happy to answer questions or to write replies.
Looking forward to the discussions and always happy to chat.
