What about Bob Lazar’s described gravity “warp drive” he supposedly worked on back-engineering in Groom Lake?

He described it as jumping from ripple to ripple on a compressed rubber-band of space-time. I know this is an unpopular opinion, but: Given our VERY limited understanding of gravity as of now (as signified by the ludicrous concepts of dark matter/energy with nothing accounting for it in SM) I wouldn’t be surprised if that were the actual science-fiction behind future drives.

Why pump heaps of energy into increasing velocity when you can literally pull your target towards you (I’m sparing you the prophet/mountain analogy)?

It kind of reminds me of an anecdote that deals with Henry Ford who supposedly said: “If I would’ve asked people what they wanted they would’ve said ‘faster horses’ “.

Thinking “out-of-the-box” really has become a lost art…
