One thing you forgot to mention about the 90% tax rate on the wealthiest tax brackets was that the intention behind it was to get wealthy people to reinvest their wealth in the local economy to create more jobs. It wasn’t to get money from the rich people. That would have made little difference in the economy but the reinvestment of wealth into companies to create jobs generates capital.
