RESO 30-Day Hackathon

It’s been a while, but I recently got back on the “personal project” horse when I participated in an interesting type of Hackathon put on by the Real Estate Standards Organization (RESO). This group is in charge of producing standards for real estate listings data and partnered up with a few companies that provide listings data via API.

I wrote a full recap for Geekestate Blog here: geekestateblog.com/reso-datacomp-30-day-hackathon-recap/

Now I’m trying to decide what to do with the platform I built for the event. I didn’t win this one, but I think my product is actually kind of cool. It’s a tool that enables real estate agents to do a remote showing tour (via 2-way video conference) and offers realtime spoken language translation so you can speak to your international buyer in their native tongue.

My plan is to release it as a saas and let agents sign up and see where it goes. Just need to find the time to polish it up now!
