About Me

Sarah Evans

Hi! I’m Sarah and I am so excited for our trip to Nicaragua this summer! I am 15 years old and am a freshman at Vail Mountain School in Vail, Colorado. I play volleyball and soccer for my school, but I also ski and do a bunch of other activities.

I was born and raised in Vail. I have grown up skiing and it also plays a huge role in my school and general community. This year I also joined my school’s telemark team and had a blast!
I live with my mother and father, my older sister Kaylie and my younger sister Sage (I am on the left, not a recent picture).
My favorite thing to do in the summer is go to our lake house on Green Mountain Reservoir. We camp, hike, water ski, wakeboard, wake surf, and cliff jump!
I play volleyball for my high school in the fall as well as Vail Volleyball club through the winter. In the summer, I also participate in the sand volleyball league. Volleyball has had a huge impact on my life. It has helped me develop confidence and independence as a person
This December, my class did a Spanish immersion trip to Costa Rica (I am the second one from the left on the bottom row). We did a lot of service work and learned a lot about the language and culture. This trip really sparked my interest for travel and helping and learning about people in other parts of the world. I am hoping that Nicaragua will be a great way for me to explore those interests further!
