Not just because a hard fork takes ages for preparation, but it will obviously result in a split like ETH/ETC, which is a bad thing.

Yeah, about that, ETH+ETC was up after the fork, not down. You have to have a weird twisted brain to label that as a bad thing somehow.

Ethereum overall is doing fine.

And who doesn’t like an actual free market choice?
