1. Turning the t-shirts inside out: By this method, the screen printing doesn’t get fade and crack easily. This method will prevent the printing from rubbing with other clothes while washing in the machine.
2. Using stain-removal spray on dirty areas: On custom screen printed t-shirts, we can use stain removal spray on the stains previously while washing. By this method, we can avoid direct contact with harsh washing chemicals on the print.

We have a safe method of cleaning this stain by using buff washing. You can slightly buff wash your printed area with the help of damp and soft cotton cloth dipped in liquid detergent. Jeans and towels could spoil the quality of screen printing by rubbing the print directly in the washing machine.
5. Using mild cleansers and liquid detergent with cold water: While washing the custom screen printed t-shirts in a washing machine, you should make sure to use the mild cleanser/liquid detergent with cold water on the gentle mode of your washing machine. This will prevent the harsh rubbing of clothes with each other and protect the print while cleaning it gently.
B) Hand-Wash: The second and important method of washing the custom screen printed t-shirts is –Hand-wash method. This method is one of the oldest and safest methods of washing and cleaning clothes without any damage. Come, let’s learn the step by step method of hand washing the screen printed t-shirts:
1. Start filling cool water in a tub and add mild/liquid detergent into this.
2. Turn your custom screen-printed t-shirts inside out to protect them from rubbing and direct contact with detergent.
3. Pre-treat the stains using the mild washing spray before dipping these into the cool water.
4. Soak the custom screen-printed t-shirts for 10–15 minutes in foamy water to extract the dirt and dust from the t-shirts.
5. After soaking the tees, gently rub them to remove dirt and stains.
6. Gently rinse thoroughly water to remove the cleansers and dirt from the t-shirts.
7. For drying these custom screen-printed t-shirts, first turning inside out and hang them in shade and avoid direct sunlight.
