Life outside 9 to 5 is very important, it’s the only time when we are “allowed” to work on our dreams and not someone else’s. The worst thing that any of us can do after we come back home from work, is succumb to the clutches of social media and all its attractive yet useless drama. It may be difficult to cut off completely from any and all sorts of social media platforms, unannounced and out of the blue. This is because many of us, myself included stay connected to our family and loved ones through social media (mostly Facebook…

There was once a time when I blindly believed in God, who we refer to in my religion as — Allah. I believed that if I did bad things I’ll go to hell and if I did good deeds then I’ll go to heaven. I used to be scared of hell. I used to think twice before doing something that’s considered socially immoral. Life was restricted, but also life was quite simple. I didn’t really have to think about anything else other than leading a good and honest life, not committing any haram (sinful act) and not making Allah angry…

“Everyone you’ll ever meet, knows something you don’t.” — Bill Nye

Have you ever been in a situation where you’re with a group of people, friends or colleagues, and they are talking about a certain topic, and you just can’t seem to get an opportunity to speak? You keep on losing your cue to speak up and find yourself being constantly interrupted by someone more enthusiastic or with a louder voice maybe. You start feeling out of place, bored or not-interested in the whole conversation anymore.

Or what about a situation where you’re working on a group project either at…

I don’t like my job that much.

What’s that nasty word that gets thrown around the internet all the time?

Ah, yes…Passion!

Yes that’s the word I was looking for. I don’t find any passion at what I do.

So what now, do I just leave my high paying job that puts a roof over my head and food on my table?

Hell no!

So then should I just suck it up and stay where I am and have a job that I’m not passionate about?

Not quite.

Not too long ago, I was facing a dilemma when people, especially…

I never thought that a 2000+ year old book and an ancient philosophy would help me to live a better life in this digital age.

The book that I’m referring to is called ‘Letters from a Stoic’ by Seneca. The book talks about the practices of Stoicism.

For those of you that are completely new to this word.. ‘Stoicism’, I’ll quote one of my favorite Stoics to give you a simple yet succinct idea of what this word entails.

“The way we use Stoic in modern english is somewhat different from the way it was used when it came from…

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.” — Walt Disney

Out of all the visionaries, Walt Disney’s story is perhaps the most encouraging.

I say this because Mr. Walt, literally started with nothing, but a dream. He wasn’t some sort of super genius, or a child prodigy.

The message that I — a 24 years old young millennial who’s at the beginning stages of crafting a career and business — get from Walt Disney is simple. JUST KEEP GOING FROWARD and BE PERSISTENT.

The only thing that separated Walt Disney from the rest of the people, was his unbelievable strength to keep on pushing forward.

That’s it!

“You don’t develop courage by being happy in your relationships every day. You develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity.” — Epicurus

There are some things, that we are never taught in school.

Things that can only be learned through our experiences, at various points in our lives.

I learned perhaps, one of the most valuable lessons about starting an online business and career, after graduating from college.

Maintaining a good relationship with our business partners and colleagues is the difference between, success and failure/profit and loss/winning and losing.

The quality of interaction with the people thar surround…

“Stay away from negative people, they have a problem for every solution.” — Albert Einstein

I have a simple rule in life.

Avoid people that bring you down.

Using this rule has helped me a lot in life, so far.

For instance, right after graduation I decided to ignore every single person (2 people actually) that told me that, ‘it’s impossible to get a job in the US, as an international student with just a Bachelor’s degree’.

Guess what happened when I stopped giving a f*** about those naysayers?

I gathered my courage, used some creativity and managed to get…

“You cannot look up at the night sky on the Planet Earth and not wonder what it’s like to be up there among the stars. And I always look up at the moon and see it as the single most romantic place within the cosmos.” — Tom Hanks

Earth is the place we all know and love. It’s our home; the only one we got.

In the daily grind of our lives, we sometimes take our planet for granted.

Earth provides us people with a firm ground beneath our feet, air we can breathe and the ever essential key element…

The 4 Hour Workweek (4HWW) by Timothy Ferriss changed my life.

I have made some extraordinary progress on my journey to designing the perfect lifestyle.

The simple yet elegant message behind the book is:

Escape the 9–5, live anywhere and join the new rich — Tim Ferriss

But here’s the plot twist:

The concepts of this book made me one of the most efficient employees at my workplace.

Isn’t the goal to escape the 9–5!

How does becoming an efficient employee help in any way to flee the rat race?

The answer’s very simple.

Every day from 9 AM to 5 PM, I am on top of my game, beating all the deadlines, helping…
