Is Austin Greed Ruining the Spirit of SXSW?

I think everyone understands “yield” pricing to some extent, but when the la quinta is over $600/night, parking at one lot is $15 and not full, and $80 at another lot (also not full), you have to wonder if these are people that care about the image of Austin and their businesses as well as just making a dollar. Maybe the goal is to maximize every dollar, but there’s something to be said for providing good value as well, to have repeat customers. And there are a few venues and lots and whatnot that seem to get this and do this.
