Dynamic programming/Graphs/Mobile photography
Well, hello! October ended on a very good note, and it’s time that I work my ass off to end November on a much better note. So, here I go.
As discussed, I’ll be working on my dynamic programming and graph skills this month. Also, lately, I have been traveling a lot in the metro — lol pollution lol — I’ve decided that I’ll be using that time for mobile photography and editing, which was originally planned to be worked upon in December. I have exams in December, so I guess, I won’t be able to allot time to 3 activities, it’s better that I shift mobile photography to November.
1/11/2019: Read a lot of theory of dynamic programming, watched videos, scrolled tutorials, and whatnot I planned from where I’ll be learning about the dynamic programming. In the end, I finalized a list of DP problems on geeks for geeks that I’ll be working upon this week for improvement in dynamic programming. I’ll be covering graphs in the 2nd half of the month. Clicked no picture.

2/11/2019: Stumbled upon Karan Gujar’s tutorials on DP; loved that guy. His teaching methodology is just like mine — take it from basics, assuming that your audience is full of nursery kids so that you’re forced to explain in the simplest of manner — I spent the whole day reading his tutorials and solved some problems that he talked about. Clicked and edited a few pictures.

3/11/2019: Solved some classic dynamic programming problems, the Tilling problem, and the Fibonacci problem, using recursion as well as dynamic programming methods. clicked and edited 2 pictures. I’ll be posting only 1 though.
4/11/2019: I was pretty busy with the office work today, but somehow I managed to read some theory of DP, also I was able to find some time for cubing as well. For 1 hour that I practiced cubes, 90% of my solves were under 42 seconds; pretty good timing, I must say. I couldn’t click any picture today.

5/11/2019: College work fucked my schedule for today, solved some basic DP problems in the metro, and clicked one picture as well. Since I couldn’t do anything today, I am planning to burn the midnight oil. It’s gonna be exhausting.
6/11/2019: Couldn’t do anything. Was loaded with crap work from college. Couldn’t even click a single picture.
7/11/2019: Same story as 6th. I wish my college burns down like Lanka. I managed to do speedcubing for a while, though.
8/11/2019: Took off today. I needed this for a very long time. I did not pick up the laptop, no coding, no office work, no college. I must say, feel really good after this break.
9/11/2019: Read lots of tutorials of string matching or naive methods.
10/11/2019: It was a long day in office, couldn’t do anything, couldn’t even click or edit a picture.
11/11/2019: Did nothing, nothing at all. Spent all-day lying around, watching Kitchen Nightmares on YouTube. What a waste of time I did.
12/11/2019: I just went to the office and completed some of my files of college, wasted yet another day.
I can see that I wasted 3 days in a row, this is unacceptable. I am using office work as an excuse to avoid my monthly challenge, this is not done. I can do better than this, in fact, I have done better than this in the past and I surely can do much better in the future. I just need to be a little tougher and stop wasting with the shitty excuses that I have learned to make to avoid the high impact things.
High Impact Things — remember it’s definition from a quora post of Saurav Sharma.
13/11/2019: Read the theory of DP and completed some college files.
14/11/2019: Solved one problem and after that got busy with online competition on codechef. 3 cube solves all under 45 seconds.
15/11/2019: Since the other half of the month starts, I will be doing Graphs as well. Practiced some DP and spent the rest of the day planning for the Graphs and completed the college files.

16/11/2019: Too much work at the office, still managed to do various implementations of Graph. Also, did the bfs and dfs traversals. Edited one picture as well.
17/11/2019–30/11/2019: I was solving either DP problems or Graph problems or studying for exams. It’s safe to say that I successfully completed my challenge this month, but the second half of this month was not as dynamic and interesting as the first half of the month, I couldn’t even click or edit pictures. I was pretty much doing graph’s practice or I was studying for exams or making practical files for college, nothing like October's challenge or the first half of November.
To summarize, I would like to say that this month went pretty awesome. The second half of this month was going kinda monotonous, so I thought I’d update my blog the day new thing happens in the second half of November, but it was pretty much the same. That is why I am updating my blog for 2nd part at the end, because it’d take me less time, lol.
