The Bernie campaign is over

That is only the Presidential bid but not the other one

The Bernie campaign is over, that is, only his presidential campaign and not the other one he’s been running all his political life. For those who’ve noticed Bernie’s campaign is not really about him getting to the “Iron Throne” of the world that is the White House, if it were he’d have quit by now!

Now, the reason he hasn’t thrown in the hat is that this campaign essentially is ALSO a clever way of having his voice heard and to make the changes to the political system that it so direly needs. The man has been trying to do these things for decades now! And only now is he being heard.

The actual campaign

Well, from what I’ve inferred from Bernie’s messaging, which has remained the same from the beginning of his political life, is that he’s looking at the bigger picture.

Well the bigger picture when it comes to the role of the government in a society, according to Bernie, is that it is a body that helps each and every individual in a society to grow to his/her full potential. And he’s right. Why are we living in cities and towns and not as individuals in homes that are miles apart? Why do we pay taxes and dues? It is not for the right to just live. It is so we can educate ourselves, keep ourselves healthy and have equal opportunities. And that is why we form governments and that is why politicians exist.

Politics as usual

Politics is not about following a certain set of procedures and methods to get to a higher office. It is not a career, it is a path, and a more difficult one for those who don’t conform to the “norms of politics” like Bernie Sanders.

The way forward

Bernie Sanders has essentially installed a better bullshit filter in our minds that is capable of deciphering the coded messaging of the politicians who speak such language.

He will fight “big money” in politics and other problems plaguing the country and most probably will succeeding in his quest for good.
