He was just 15 when he found himself walking unescorted into the clinic of most famous and best known bone specialist of Mumbai. He told none of his friends and family about his complaint. Finally, bone specialist confirmed what he suspected initially, muscular dystrophy, which is a degenerative condition of the human muscles that leads to an inability to walk.

Life gave him yet another blow just after 2 years he came to know about his condition of muscular dystrophy. This time it was severe car accident while he was returning from his Gujarat factory. This accident gave severe physical trauma by affecting all the bones of his body and even jaw was broken. So, he kept undergoing surgeries regularly for almost 3-4 months. Another disheartening part for him was that this accident greatly accelerated his muscular dystrophy. “Ten years of muscle atrophy in just three months” he expressed in an interview. Although muscular dystrophy and car accident gave severe physical traumas to Ashish Bagrodia and he was bound to wheel chair even well before he turned 18 but there was never mental trauma or depression.

Again, life tested him with some sort of momentary resistance that made him to undergo various types of surgeries again to set his bones. After turning to 23, Ashish started thinking about marriage but he didn’t want to marry a girl just because she is sorry for him or just want to marry him for his money. Actually, this was the time in his life when he started rebelling against his dystrophy and physical traumas. Finally, he met a girl named Shantipriya and fell in love with her and decided to marry her. Both of them are happily living now.
