“The beauty of the soul shines out when a man bears with composure one heavy mischance after another, not because he does not feel them, but because he is a man of high and heroic temper.” Aristotle

Overcoming any struggle starts with your mindset. What you think, you become, and without your mind in the right place, every successful person has had to overcome adversity in their lives. It teaches us to not give up, not back down, and allows us to keep on pushing through even on the worst days.

‘Sweet are the uses of adversity’ means that the difficulties which come in our life should not dishearten us. We should take these difficulties positively. Our attitude makes a lot of difference.

Adversity in a way is a teacher which teaches us to be patient, to be strong and uncomplaining.

“Adversity introduces a man to himself.” Albert Einstein.

“I can bounce back from adversity and reinvent my life — it’s possible.” Les Brown.

The purpose of life is to gain knowledge, the best teacher is adversity, we learn through pleasant times too, if we really look at our lives we are always learning, gaining knowledge through our experiences every day.

There are a lot of ways that we can change our current situation, here are some ways that helped me:

Gratitude: Being thankful for what you have, more will follow soon. Start with being thankful to yourself, your body.

Taking Full Responsibility: Own any decision you make, whether it’s small or big. Don’t complain, and moan for the insignificant things, no victim mentality. Don’t point fingers at others, or make excuses.

Creating better habits: We need to realize that the habits we had did not work for us and that is the reason we are in this shit hole.

We need to change our habits, and repetition forms habits. Start with small any a minor improvement every day will lead to big results.

Point of view: Positive view of the future. How we view the world and ourselves in it. Thought arise from inside us, so we have to learn the art of viewing ourselves as being a productive member of the society. Talk to yourself in front of the mirror and be nice to yourself.

“In times of stress or adversity, it’s always best to keep busy, to plow your anger and energy into something positive.”

Lee Lacocca

“An optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” Winston Churchill.

Surround yourself by people who are wiser and mentally stronger than you, and watch them, how they cope with adverse situations in life, they will be your best trainers.

“Sometimes adversity is what you need to face in order to become successful.”

Zig Ziglar

Failures and Adversities are literally the seeds of growth, opportunity, and success. They serve as stepping stones that help move you from not achieving your goals to achieving them.

Failure isn’t a permanent condition; it’s a state, it’s temporary.

One of the biggest problems with adversity is the belief that it’s permanent and as a result a domino effect occurs.

“Fire is the test of gold; adversity of the strong men.” Martha Graham

“You hardest times often lead to the greatest moments of your life.” Anonymous

“There is no education like adversity.” Benjamin Disraeli

“Adversity is like a strong wind. It tears away from us all but the things that cannot be torn so that we see ourselves as we really are.” Arthur Golden

I observe and Ponder at the pursue of life, that we are running so fast towards our goals, that ultimately leads us to Death. Adversity is a Stimulus.
