In our group discussion last week, we decided to make a questionnaire to understand the current basic situation. The subject of this questionnaire is NYU students. Then, we contacted the heads of different organizations and asked them to help us distribute the questionnaire. We also set up a table to see who has contacted which organizations and the reply status, to ensure that there is no repeat contact and facilitate follow-up progress.
Last week we made a general plan, starting with research, understanding the basic situation, and search for possible problems in these situations. Then we began to do some research based on the topic separately, I did some research on the data of LGBTQ+ in the US, including recent trends, the proportion of LGBTQ in the total U.S. population and the proportion of different groups.
We had a zoom meeting on Monday to discuss what we found and exchange our views. We built a google docs to put all of our staff together. Then we built a questionnaire that going to be distributed.
This is a two-minute video for the whole Time Capsule project:
”A story in 125 years”
In the story I imagined, my little box was forgotten outside a tall building in Brooklyn. One day, a young boy named Mike found it and started a conversation that across time and space (by scanning the QR code).
I hope to use this story to illustrate some of my imagination of the future world, including future cities, future people’s lifestyles, and future technology-such as electronic products no longer need to be charged, etc.···
After conceiving the basic story, I started to write my script.
I divided the script into 12 sub-shots, and then I started drawing comics.
I have selected some items that I will bring when I travel. Most of them have been with me for many years. I chose a power bank, card needle, charger, toothbrush, nail clippers and earphones as my Time Capsule items.
