Life can wait

Day 16 of the 100 Word Project

I really should bury that bone. Whatever, I’ll do it later.

It’s my AP Biology teacher’s fault. Way back in the day, I was a smart-ass high schooler who, like all high schoolers, thought I knew everything there was to know about everything.

Anyway, I had a bad habit of procrastinating on homework assignments because I learned very early on that the source of almost all my creative energy is the threat of imminent failure. One day, Mr. Stoll took me aside and said, “You know what, Shadi? You’ll never get through college by putting things off till the last minute.”

And you know what? I’m still proving that dude wrong.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
