Thanks for the comment. I think most writers are held back by fear — fear that their writing isn’t good enough, fear that no one will read it. Ironically, it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy: no one will read it if you don’t write it.

I’ve learned a lot from writing every day for the past half year or so. First, there’s going to be more chaff than wheat. Second, the more you make writing a habit, the easier it becomes. And, finally, you have to give your audience what they want.While I’ve written random humor pieces that gained a little traction, this is, by far, my most popular story to date. Because it’s more relatable than edgy.

Going forward, I want to see if there’s a way to merge observational humor with the accessibility of pieces about writing better.
