Logic Model Implementation in the Indonesia Education System to Enhance Indonesia’s Human Resources

Human resources are the most significant asset in a country’s core. Raising the quality of a nation’s resources is fundamentally dependent on ensuring the standards of its people, and one of the only methods to accomplish so is to stress the significance of education. In Indonesia’s education system, which is based on the national school system, there is a discrepancy between ambitions and realism. In Indonesia, schooling is still profit-driven, which leads to defects and issues. As a result, the logic model will be used as one of the solutions to help Indonesia enhance its educational system. This will help the country improve the efficiency and effectiveness of its education system.

Indonesia has the fourth-largest population in the world. Of this sizable population, just 8.5 percent earned a degree. The 2017 National Socioeconomic Survey found that the highly educated citizenry only accounts for about 8.5% of the population aged 14 and older. These days, there are a number of issues that the public is worried about, including children who use drugs and commit crimes. Character education is one strategy for addressing the current moral crisis. Character education is undoubtedly affected not just by teachers, but also by parents and the environmental elements. In schools, stringent regulations and bans are imposed in a number of methods. Neither of these projects, however, proved successful.

Logic models may help managers and assessors better comprehend the dynamics and design of a program, as well as map a course toward improved governance. The actions, resources, outputs, and objectives the project will produce are all included in a logic model, which is a visual representation of a program. To plan a program, several people must contribute time, energy, engagement, and coordination. Self-development program, for example, is a fundamental value-related program that is aimed to help people find, assess, and change their own strengths. This will help the individual choose their life objectives and maximize their potential. The logic model will assist programs in establishing goals, actions, required inputs, and other factors.

Indonesian education management frequently emphasizes rasio value while overlooking other critical components of producing valuable human resources such as rasa and raga. The government must address the inadequacies and weaknesses in its education system in order to avoid chaos. For example, numerous students became individualists or/and unwell due to having to work all day without a pause to exercise or socialize with others. In order to provide a better student for improved human resources, these three criteria must be coordinated by utilizing a viable and measurable program logic model.
