Visit to Reti Bazar, Peshawar

Reti Bazar means the “Market of Sand”. The origin of this name is because there were a lot of sands during the cleaning of Shahi Kata. This is situated near Chowk Yadgar.

This market place is famous for carpenter, blacksmith and agriculture tools. Some people saying that the name of this place is derived because of the use of sand in the making of these tools. but this seems myth which needs more research.
