Sales well not really…I was more of a consultant for my clients & here are my top 10 learnings :

1. Being persistent is the game-changer.

2. Believe in the product/service which you are selling.

3. Whenever you are leading any project always remember “You know your project / your client more than anyone else in this world” So treat it that way & don’t let any other voices bother you.

4. It’s never going to be a smooth ride. No matter how much you have planned, things will go wrong. Sometimes horribly wrong. We all make mistakes & no one expects you to be perfect. But you will be judged for your response to the situation.

5. You will always find someone around who would enjoy doing power play but trust me if you are focused on getting what you want no one can dare to touch you.

6. Every company has a different culture & you have to make your own choices & do your bit.

7. Nothing can beat the power of teamwork

8. Every client & his / her needs are different. Do not assume anything without having clear communication. The majority of the problems could be solved by communication.

9. Mean your words. I know sometimes situations may ask you to do otherwise but being in integrity can take you a long way. And your clients will always value you for that.

10. It’s a profession where you can never take anything for granted. It will always keep you on your toes. So be the one you believe in & stay grounded.

There is a process, a rhythm & a certain nuance to it. And it goes thus:
